About Aimee

If you want to know a little bit more about me, read on! I have been a Christian for almost all my life. As a child, I felt very close to God and accepted Jesus into my heart at the age of five at a neighborhood Bible Club. Growing up, my family experienced some hardships which gave me the sense of having little control over my life. As I neared college age, I thought I could make wise choices without necessarily consulting God. I put myself through college graduating with dual certification in Early Childhood – Special and Regular Education. I immediately got a job teaching.

Shortly after, I met my first husband. We dated for 3 years before getting married because I thought it was “wiser” to wait until he was done with college. We married and purchased a home. I was happy and life seemed like it was going as planned. After three years, we had our first son and things started to unravel. The changes were hard on my then husband. There was a short period of separation. After counseling and thinking we were on more solid ground, we had our second son. However, after a family crisis, my husband left and filed for divorce. My sons were three years old and six months old at the time.

God used this time to draw me into an intimate relationship with Him. I learned to trust God and let go of the supposed control I thought I had on life.
